After completing his schooling in Singapore, he joined the Singapore Government Printing Press to learn the trade from his father. He was not accepted as a junior partner of the Hong Kong firm of Noronha & Co. He formed a partnership with Jorge Fernandes #642 (the son of Nicolau Tolentino Fernandes #640, the founder of the Tipografia Mercantil of Macau) and they opened a new printing company in Canton by the name of Noronha & Fernandes. Henrique Delfino de Noronha led a colourful life.
