Death: 20 October 1964, Rio de Janeiro, After completing his studies at Seminario de Sao Jose in Macau, went to Saigon, Vietnam - the Paradise of Asia at that time, to work. Moved to Shanghai in January 1907, where he met Maria Emilia Collaco Gomes, widow with 3 children - Laura, Alexandre and Zelinda Gomes, and got married in 1910.

Worked for the Shanghai Gas Co. from 1907-1915, the International Cotton Manufacturing Co. from 1916-1918, joined Messageries Maritimes 1918-1932, in 1920 he founded Companhia Oriental Portuguesa - wines, spirits, preserves, perfume. In 1933 he founded Agence Roliz, a very successful agency, receiving commendations from all the Catholic Missions in China within one year for his services rendered.

His travel agency was very unique, issued tickets for the 7 largest airlines in the world - Air France, CAAC, CAT, CATC, Northwest, Pan Am, KLM; cruises, ground transportation and insurance. Spoke Chinese, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Transferred Agence Roliz to Rio de Janeiro in 1950, closed the agency in 1956 when he retired at the age of 71.

Oct. 6, 1939, became the president of the First National Organization of the Portuguese Colony in Shanghai - equivalent to the Lusitano today recommended by Consul Melo and was also a Member of the Municipal Council of Shanghai.

Avid Lawn Bowler, participated in running and walking competitions at the age of 55 - 2nd place.

After he retired, being very creative, he developed 2 board maps which several schools in Brazil adopted to facilitate learning addition, multiplication, division, and subtraction besides fractions.

He was father of Felizberto, Geralberto, Alberto, Gualberto, Adalberto, Angela, Amelia, Fabia, Rigoberto (Rigo), Roberto (Roby) Collaco Roliz and a few more I did not meet. Attached some photos and articles.
